（1） A saint， holy man; an enlightened person--a buddha or bodhisattva 菩萨 （a^rya， a^rya-jana）. （2） In Yoga^ca^ra technical usage， a practitioner who is at the level of the Path of Seeing 见道 or above. （3） A title given to a person of high rank.
