Sishierzhang jing; the Sutra in Forty-two Chapters. One fascicle. Translation attributed to Kasyapamatanga and Mdran Dharmaraks!a. Considered to be the first sutra to be translated into Chinese. In order to introduce Buddhism in to China， basic Buddhist teachings were excerpted from various sutras and compiled as the forty-two entries in this text.
