出三藏记集

(A Compilation of Notes on the Translation of the Tripitaka). Compiled around 515 by Sengyou 僧祐. T 2145.55.1a-114a. Sengyou, who completed his catalog shortly before his death, compiled an extensive list which relied on the (currently missing) earlier catalogs available to him at the time, along with his own research. In addition to its exhaustive lists of sutras, it contains introductory essays on the sutra translations and biographies of the early translators, making it the most complete and reliable early reference work known. Sengyou's listing included both suspicious and spurious sutras, but without making a rigorous distinction between the two types.
